The year was 2021 and the pandemic dating scene was in full swing. Dating “in the wild”was a distant memory. That is, unless you met someone in line getting your COVID vaccine or stocking up on a 10-month supply of toilet paper at the grocery store.

Molly and Jens both decided to try their hand at online dating (which was not the easiest concept to explain to Molly’s, at the time, upper 90-year-old grandparents). After a couple of weeks messaging back and forth, they finally met for a hike in Park City. Jens thoughtfully picked a hike in which the trailhead started down creepy, desolate dirt road. Luckily, Molly ignored all warning signs that she might be meeting up with a serial killer and drove down that dirt path to meet one of the best guys that’s ever existed. They immediately bonded over their love of the outdoors, closeness to their families, and shared motto to never take yourself too seriously.

Its been an amazing ride over the last several years which has included a stint of long distance, countless runs on the ski slope, a couple of moves, two years of grad school, international adventures, hard times, and wonderful times. We feel blessed every day to have found each other and can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with the most important people in the world to us. See you in May!
